June is Migraine & Headache Awareness Month (#MHAM), an opportunity to raise #awareness about #migraine and other #headache diseases. Migraine impacts forty million people in the United States, one billion people across the globe, and is recognized as the 2nd commonest cause of #disability #worldwide.
2022 MHAM Theme: "Advocate for Treatment Access."
The theme will help break down barriers that stand between patients and treatments. More than 50% of people with migraine go undiagnosed. Providing educational resources is the first step to reducing the stigma of migraine.
“There is currently no cure for migraine, but we are in a renaissance of new #treatments, #therapies, and #approaches to managing the disease”.
“If you have been struggling in silence, now is the time to #speakup, educate yourself, and seek #care. You might just change your life.”
