#LalaLajpatRai was born in 1865 in Punjab and was informally called #PunjabKesari.

A part of Lal-Bal-Pal trio, he was one of the #extremist members of Indian #NationalCongress. In 1920, he became a popular leader as he led the #Non-Cooperation Movement and Punjab Protest against the #JalliawalaBagh incident.
In a #SimonCommission protest in 1928, he died from brutal Lathi charge by the #Britishers.
