Roger Newland Shepard is an American #psychologist who was awarded the National Medal of Science (1995) for his research work that provided major new insights into the nature of #mental processes, previously considered impossible to study. His results caused fundamental changes in both popular and scientific understanding of the nature of mental #imagery.
