Russian-American physicist and electronics engineer who is known as “the Father of Television.” Concurrent with the start of radio broadcasting, Zworykin was developing a system of transmitting sound and pictures. Other inventors were using a motorized, mechanical scanning system with rotating disks capable of a picture about one inch square. It was heavy, bulky and impractical for home use. Zworykin, at Westinghouse, instead developed an electronic scanning television system using his innovations, the iconoscope and kinescope, the forerunners of today's television camera. He also invented the electron microscope. www.drbjagadish.com www.masterdoctorclinic.com www.masterdoctorclinic.co.in #drbjagadish #masterdoctor #DiabetesClinic #Telemedicine #onlineconsultation #Diabetologist #Odisha #health #awareness

Sharing the human spirit through friendship :-

Our world faces many challenges, crises and forces of division — such as poverty, violence, and human rights abuses — among many others — that undermine peace, security, development and social harmony among the world's peoples. To confront those crises and challenges, their root causes must be addressed by promoting and defending a shared spirit of human solidarity that takes many forms — the simplest of which is friendship. Through friendship — by accumulating bonds of camaraderie and developing strong ties of trust — we can contribute to the fundamental shifts that are urgently needed to achieve lasting stability, weave a safety net that will protect us all, and generate passion for a better world where all are united for the greater good. The International Day of Friendship was proclaimed in 2011 by the UN General Assembly with the idea that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities. The resolution places emphasis on involving young people, as future leaders, in community activities that include different cultures and promote international understanding and respect for diversity. www.drbjagadish.com www.masterdoctorclinic.com www.masterdoctorclinic.co.in #drbjagadish #masterdoctor #DiabetesClinic #Telemedicine #onlineconsultation #Diabetologist #...

Born 30 Jul 1859; died 27 Feb 1951 at age 91.

American physicist and administrator who is credited with making the first #X-ray photograph in the U.S. on about 12 Jan 1896, while he was a professor of physics and astronomy at Davidson College, North Carolina. Shortly after Röntgen's announcement of his discovery of X-rays, Smith copied the technique. Smith made an X-ray photograph of a bullet he had shot into the hand of a cadaver, that was published in the Charlotte Observer (27 Feb 1896). Shortly thereafter, he made the first clinical use of X-rays to locate a thimble stuck in a young girl's throat, enabling its surgical removal. Smith became the college president in 1901 and oversaw adding a new science building. He established an electric light plant. Near the end of WW I, his idea to inform the German population of President Wilson's peace plans was adopted. Millions of messages carried by gas-filled balloons were released from France into the winds over Germany. www.drbjagadish.com www.masterdoctorclinic.com www.masterdoctorclinic.co.in #drbjagadish #masterdoctor #DiabetesClinic #Telemedicine #onlineconsultation #Diabetologist #Odisha #health #awareness

A 30 Day Challenge is a proven strategy for implementing new healthy habits in life. It’s a great way to try new things, keep life variety high and undertake new challenges without putting too much pressure on yourself. You have to know the extraordinary feeling of being proud of yourself on the last day, right after you complete the 30th repetition; and then you might even stick to the new behavioral pattern If you’ve never done any 30 Day Challenge, you absolutely have to try one. There is no completely fulfilled life without at least one successfully performed 30 Day Challenge. 30 Day Challenges remove the doubts over whether you have the stamina to persist at something new forever. You have to persist only for 30 days, no longer. 30 days is nothing compared to forever. Anyone can persist for 30 days. You can absolutely persist for 30 days at any reasonable challenge you set for yourself. www.drbjagadish.com www.masterdoctorclinic.com www.masterdoctorclinic.co.in #drbjagadish #masterdoctor #DiabetesClinic #Telemedicine #onlineconsultation #Diabetologist #Odisha #health #awareness

Global Tiger Day or International Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29th as a way to raise awareness about this magnificent but endangered big cat. The day was founded in 2010 at Saint Petersberg Tiger Summit at Russia, when the 13 tiger range countries came together to create Tx2 – the global goal to double the number of wild tigers by the year 2022. 2016 marks the halfway point of this ambitious goal and this year has been one of the most united and exciting Global Tiger Days yet. WWF offices, organisations, celebrities, government officials, families, friends and individuals around the world came together in support of the #ThumbsUpForTigers campaign – showing the tiger range countries that there is worldwide support for tiger conservation efforts and the Tx2 goal. www.drbjagadish.com www.masterdoctorclinic.com www.masterdoctorclinic.co.in #drbjagadish #masterdoctor #DiabetesClinic #Telemedicine #onlineconsultation #Diabetologist #Odisha #health #awareness

Born 29 Jul 1898; died 11 Jan 1988 at age 89.

Austrian-American physicist who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1944 for his invention (in 1937) of the atomic and molecular beam magnetic resonance method of measuring magnetic properties of atoms, molecules, and atomic nuclei. He spent most of his life at Columbia University (1929-67), where he performed most of his pioneering research in radar and the magnetic moment associated with electron spin in the 1930s and 1940s. His Nobel-winning work led to the invention of the laser, the atomic clock, and diagnostic uses of nuclear magnetic resonance. He originated the idea for the CERN nuclear research center in Geneva (founded 1954). www.drbjagadish.com www.masterdoctorclinic.com www.masterdoctorclinic.co.in #drbjagadish #masterdoctor #DiabetesClinic #Telemedicine #onlineconsultation #Diabetologist #Odisha #health #awareness

Born 28 Jul 1925; died 5 Apr 2011 at age 85.

Baruch Samuel Blumberg was an #American #physician who shared (with D. Carleton Gajdusek) the 1976 #NobelPrize in Physiology or #Medicine “for their discoveries concerning new mechanisms for the #origin and #dissemination of #infectious diseases.” In 1963, Blumberg accidentally discovered an #antigen in the blood of an #Australian #aborigine which he subsequently identified as the #HepatitisB surface antigen, a molecule from the surface of the hepatitis B molecule. His report of this discovery (1967) at first encountered indifference, but when confirmed by others, the #virus was acknowledged to be the cause of the disease. He then developed a #vaccine, though it had high production cost and limited distribution. But his work led to other researchers using #RecombinantDNA technology to produce a successful vaccine now in widespread use.
